I got through my presentation on peatland restoration and carbon budgets, so tomorrow I'm off to Birmingham for the UK Games Expo.
The plan is to buy fewer games than I sell. Same plan as last year, but it didn't really work then, and I suspect itmay not work this time.
Anyway, if you're going to be there, pop along and say hello. I may even give you a cheap tacky plastic gift (is that any way to talk about Mantic's miniatures?)
Good news Pride and Prejudice fans.
After an absence due to illness, "Marrying Mr Darcy" is returning to F-side Games. The new stock will be arriving this week. I hope it does so before I head down to Birmingham for the UK Games Expo. If it is in time, I will take a few copies with me, and hope to see you there.
*I will be picking up my new copies at the UKGE, so you can get them there, and I'll list them on the store at the earliest opportunity.
Hooray. We now have access to PDFs for all Lamentations of the Flame Princess printed products. This means that when you order one of their brilliant (and often award-winning) print products we can supply you with the same thing in Portable Digital Format.
If you've bought one of their products from us before and want to get the PDF version, let us know, and we'll send it to you via email ASAP.
If you are one of those fine people who have purchased HMS Victory, you may have already noticed a small error on the No.2 and No. 8 maneuver cards. Read as they are, it looks like the less sail that you have up, the further you go. This is of course incorrect.
For full details and a pdf go to the Ares Games website here.
If you haven't heard about this already, Ares Games have produced points values for all the ships they have produced and some upcoming ones. This means you can more balanced competitions against your mates (or have some really one-sided games, where one sides ambition is to simply get there ship off the table). Here's the link.
If you've got any interesting scenario ideas, why no post them here.
There 's a lot of interest about at the moment for the delightful game. Unfortunately, we're out of stock at the moment. We are waiting for a big box of them to make their way over the Atlantic to us.
If you want to know when they have arrived, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and sure that you include "Marrying Mr Darcy" in the subject line.
One for the Bronies, and people interested in an unusual take on Pathfinder.
PonyFinder is a pony-based campaign setting for Pathfinder. It can be set in its own world of Everglow, or slipped into your current pathfinder campaign. It has been designed so that it won't unbalance your current game whilst adding that certain element that only ponies can provide.
The good news is that Byzantio/Nekken had arrived today. it's two games in one. One historically-based in the Mediterranean in the first half of the first millennium, and the other in a fantasy setting.
The great news is that A Study in Emerald arrived in the same delivery. I can't wait to give this a go at the weekend.
I've heard from Treefrog Games, the publishers, and after being let down by their original distributors, they now have a new one, and the games should be going out in the next week or so.
If you've ordered a copy, I'll let you know as soon as its in, and get it out you as soon as I can.
I've had a chance to play this game a couple of times now, and it's fun.
