Puerto Diablo

It’s 1663. On the small isle of Puerto Diablo, a dangerous and exciting journey is about to begin, that will lead the players through a world of pirates, cursed gold, superstition and pious soldiers,
Help the characters in this game to sail from harbour to harbour, overcome challenges and collect as many milestones as they can!

Puerto Diablo is a card game that consists of about 180 cards and can be played by up to five people. The playing time is 30 minutes per player.

The players will have to debate and cooperate to advance, but … there can only be one winner. Alliances will be short lived. Heartless betrayal can win you the game, but could also turn against you at the worst possible moment.

This game chronicles a journey, that passes through four harbours. Each player leads a team of characters and their skills. In each harbour, the players try to overcome a number of challenges to gain new crewmembers, skills and milestones. By doing so, they specialize in one or more of the following spheres.

  • Superstition - Witchcraft invokes a lot of respect in the 17th century.
  • Bureaucracy - It is amazing what one can achieve with a pen, some paper and friends in the right places.
  • Violence - If it doesn’t work, use more!
  • Trade - More gold helps you buy more. And more is better.
  • Tavern - Sometimes it is hard to remember, if you were actually there.
  • Religion - Gives support and confidence in hard times.
  • Science - Knowledge is power. Whoever understands the laws of nature need not fear superstition.
  • Sailing - Decide where to go. This helps you to redirect the course of fate.
